Vicki Pinson
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychologist
I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space in which clients from diverse backgrounds can heal while building self-esteem and confidence.
I obtained my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from North Carolina Central University and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with minors in ASL Deaf Studies and Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am a Licensed Psychological Associate who performs psychotherapy, counseling, and psychological and psychoeducational testing. I believe that my primary role as a therapist is to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment in which clients from diverse backgrounds can explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences and uncover their deepest healing potential, while building self-esteem and confidence. I believe the foundation for effective therapy is a strong client-therapist relationship built on trust, understanding, and acceptance. I tailor treatment towards the individual’s needs by integrating tools from multiple theories including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused, and Solution Focused approaches. I utilize a holistic approach, meaning that I provide support by acknowledging all components of health including mental, physical, emotional, and social health. I grew up in Thomasville, North Carolina. I have lived in Raleigh since 2018 and love the area. I am the mother of two, and grandmother to six. I enjoy knitting and often relax by knitting gifts for my grandchildren. I also enjoy travelling with my significant other and spending time with family and friends.
