Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Hello! I look forward to meeting you and working together to create change opportunities that lead to living your best life.
Welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker (in both Washington and Arizona) with 30 years’ experience in the health and mental health fields. I spent 25 years in emergency medicine and acute healthcare, as well as doing program development in the areas of domestic violence and bariatric surgery support. In addition, I've worked in teen mental health and in-patient behavioral health. In 2017, I followed a career long aspiration and opened a private practice. After deciding to relocate my family from Seattle to Phoenix in 2021 I closed my practice, then in 2022, reopened a practice to continue my passion for working with clients to help create change in their lives. Making the decision to seek help/enter counseling can be a difficult decision, often with feelings of fear, overwhelm and discouragement. My approach is to first understand what drove the client, and/or family, to reach out for help, and then to provide a comfortable space to discuss what they’d like to be different. Working together to identify treatment goals, and an approach, the client gains confidence in the process and hopefulness in a positive outcome. I work with kids, adolescents, and adults, individually and in relationships. She has experience working with depression and other mood disorders, suicidality, anxiety, personality disorders, neurodiverse disorders, relationship challenges and adolescent issues. I use solution focused modalities and a strength-based perspective.
