I have specialized training in treating anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in children, teens, adults and families.

My approach to counseling is based on connection, skill building and a healthy dose of humor. I believe in providing evidence-based treatment that focuses on the factors that maintain anxiety such as avoidance, accommodation and catastrophic thinking. Counseling may include mapping out and gradually reducing family accommodations, naming and externalizing worry, and creating and drawing plans for how to respond when anxiety shows up. Before diving into the world of counseling, I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Art Education at Arizona State University and spent a few years working as an elementary and middle school art teacher. I earned my Master's degree in counseling from Ottawa University, and I have experience working with children, teens and adults with a variety of mental health concerns. As I have moved forward in my career, I found a passion for treating anxiety disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
