Matt Burghdoff
(He/Him/His)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Helping you thrive is my priority. Together, we will build a plan to help you overcome whatever obstacles you may face.
My ultimate goal is to empower you to overcome whatever obstacle has presented itself, now and in the future. Clients come from all walks of life, with countless unique experiences that have made them the remarkable people they are today. My role is to be your partner, and sometimes guide, for this stage of your life journey. My work brings together decades of experience in international development, crisis response, individual counseling, and family interventions. In therapy, I focus on using Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) approaches to help reshape how we look at the world around us, with an eye towards finding ways we can make changes for the better (Solution Focused). As appropriate, we bring in a number of additional techniques and tools to aid in your growth journey. While I have a great deal of my own experiences, you are the expert on you. I firmly believe that my job is to help clients realize and manifest their own, inner power and potential. Any treatment plans, objectives, or goals we set are developed together, targeted to what you want to achieve.
