Kendahl Florio
(They/Them/Theirs)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Everyone. Yes, even you.I can help you root out self-shaming, and find love for yourself again.
I have good news: therapy doesn't have to be painful to work. Many of us are struggling to thrive in the world, dealing with unprecedented stress, oppression, and disconnection. I strive to offer hope to queer people, neurodivergent folks, and those living with painful trauma experiences. Let's honor your complexity, learn to heal your wounds through mindful self-compassion and find your spark of aliveness again. I can help you root out self-shaming, and find love for yourself again. I use a mindfulness-based approach, speaking kindness, compassion, curiosity, and self-acceptance through a Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM) trauma-informed lens. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills. I believe that complex healing can arise from complex trauma, no matter the source of that pain. I love what I do, and I am looking forward to hearing from you to see if we might work together. Feel free to reach out to me and have a free 15 minute consultation so we can explore the possibility of a therapeutic alliance.
