I provide psychotherapy for a variety of life problems but specialize in Jungian psychotherapy for depression and anxiety, including working with dreams.

Hello, Prior to becoming a psychologist, I studied biology at Montana State University and South Dakota State University, receiving a B.S. degree in 1989. After working in the field of biology, I went on to pursue graduate work in biology, and gradually became more interested in the biology and psychology of people. I changed directions and completed an M.A. degree in counseling from the University of South Dakota and went on to complete my Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) degree in counseling in 1997. I have worked with people of most ages and from many walks of life. I have worked with children and adolescents in schools, outpatient clinics, and at a juvenile detention facility. I have worked with adults in both clinic and hospital settings, in both clinical and administrative roles. I provide psychotherapy for many different emotional and mental health concerns, but specialize in providing psychotherapy for anxiety and depression. Of course I customize psychotherapy in tune with a client's unique personality and life situation, but I specialize in utilizing a Jungian psychological approach and looking at dreams and other unconscious dynamics in helping to understand current life problems. I look forward to meeting you and please reach out if you have questions about my practice or to schedule an appointment.
