Yi (Lori) Long
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Psychotherapist
I provide trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive therapy for multicultural, Asian, BIPOC, immigrants, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities
As a first-generation Asian immigrant myself, I dedicate my practice to Asian, multicultural individuals, immigrants, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities. I am passionate about working with individuals from different cultural backgrounds, exploring how complex identities and unique personal experiences have shaped us into who we are. I specialize in addressing and healing from anxiety, complex trauma, relationship issues, pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum issues, stress, cultural identity, cultural/intergenerational conflicts, family conflicts, grief, and other issues. I utilize a wide range of therapy approaches including Psychodynamic, DBT, ACT, CBT, Somatic, Neuroscience-informed, Strength-based, Solution-focused, Trauma-focused, Culturally-sensitive, and other therapy approaches. I take cultural systems and unique personal experiences into consideration while focusing on personal growth. Being a new mother myself, I strive to support parents through their pregnancy, prenatal and postpartum journey. I use casual and relational approaches to help people process their experiences and rediscover their self-confidence and self-compassion.
