Psychologist
I work with individuals looking to improve health behaviors such as eating and sleep. My approach emphasizes acceptance and self-compassion.
I help clients build rich, meaningful lives that are physically and psychologically more healthful. I specialize in weight management, eating behavior, and health behavior change (including sleep). I regularly treat concerns related to weight, body image, and eating (including binge eating and emotional or mindless eating). I also deliver highly-effective, short-term behavioral treatments for sleep problems such as insomnia. In addition, I treat depression, anxiety, and difficulties adjusting to life transitions and medical conditions. I have advanced training in behavioral weight loss, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness. My approach is empathic and empowering and emphasizes self-compassion, acceptance, and change. I will help you relate to your thoughts and emotions differently so that you can focus on building meaning and fulfillment. We will develop a personalized plan that is based upon evidence-based interventions and your values and goals.
