Valerie Thorn
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
I am a counselor with Raleigh Psychology Counseling and Assessments. I use a collaborative approach to counseling, from a strengths-based perspective.
My hope is to walk with you to heal the hurt, build your strengths and develop coping skills to use when you feel overwhelmed with emotions, such as sadness, anxiety, and trauma related stressors. Each day is a new beginning. My theoretical approach uses evidenced based practices, integrating Person Centered, Trauma informed Care, Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral therapy and Solution Focused techniques.
