Traketa Dillard
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I value personal connection, compassion, & honesty in therapeutic work & appreciate the opportunity to offer direction which brings awareness & clarity.
For the last 10 years, I have been working to help people like you experience positive change and navigate difficult times with support, guidance, and encouragement. My experience in community mental health is diverse, working with children, youth, and adults. People have told me they can relate to my “grit” and authenticity. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Ferrum College and hold a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have specific experience working with adults, anger, ADHD, depression, PTSD, substance usage, bipolar disorder and anxiety. During therapy, I utilize a variety of evidence based techniques and strategies, including CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, trauma informed modalities including Cognitive Processing Therapy and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I know that the thought of beginning therapy can feel intimidating and the task of finding the “right” therapist daunting. Take the first step and know, we will work together to create change, encourage growth, and improve self-esteem.
