Tonya Butler
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I strive to provide an environment where individuals feel accepted and safe to explore their emotional vulnerabilities and reach their recovery goals.
Hi there, thanks for viewing my profile. I have worked in the psychiatric field my entire career, the last five as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I've worked with both adolescents and adults in a variety of settings to include free clinics, juvenile correctional facilities, inpatient units, community mental health centers, and veterans hospitals. What I've always know is that every human being has inherent worth and deserves to be treated as such. What I learned and come to believe is that we are all born with a unique potential that, with the right nurturing, can be fully realized. I take a humanistic-experiential and solution-focused approach to treatment and aim to empower patients to harness their own strengths and resources to overcome challenges. Therapy at Butler Behavioral is centered in a safe and relaxed space to explore the depth and complexity of the individual human experience and form deep therapeutic connections that allow for acceptance, growth, and change on behalf of the individual. Reach out, I'd love to chat!
