Robert Haggerty

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate here in the state of North Carolina. I work with individuals ages 16+ and couples at Cornerstone Counseling & Wellness, at their office in Wake Forest. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2022, and am CACREP accredited. My primary treatment modalities are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing for working with individuals, as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy and elements of Gottman method for working with couples. I don’t prescribe a cookie-cutter approach to therapy, and make sure to provide my clients with a broad range of skills and resources to help them meet their goals, because not every technique or intervention will work in the same way for everyone. While much of my counseling experience has been working with clients who want an integrated spiritual/Christian counseling approach, I strive to make a space that is comfortable for anyone of any or no faith tradition to receive the absolute best in mental health care.
