Mariah Lord
(She/Her/Hers)
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
I strive to provide connected, authentic, and decolonized care to a diverse range of adult clients looking for self-discovery and relational healing.
Being truly seen and understood can be a transformative experience. That is why my intention when working with clients is to create a validating and empowering environment built on the basis of authentic connection within the therapeutic relationship. My approach incorporates humor, warmth, compassion, as well as direct reflections and feedback in order to "hold up the mirror" to help you uncover potential blind spots. I understand that each person has their own preferences and comfort around the level of structure a therapist provides in a session. Some client's come in with clear goals for what they hope to get out of the session. Other clients show up hoping for some support and direction from me to get to a place of deeper processing. I cater the level of structure I bring to the session based on each of my client's individual needs. In our work together, I hope to support you in reigniting your search for fulfillment, meaning, and connection to your life and those around you.
