Margie Hattori
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Effective mind-body approaches and an understanding of your nervous system enrich our talk therapy to help you take action and move forward.
Are you overwhelmed? Challenged by your relationships with friends, romantic partners or family? Do you have a foot in two or more worlds and are struggling to feel at home wherever you are? Or maybe you're burnt out by academics or life in general. College and graduate school are demanding experiences and it can feel like you never get to rest or that you don't belong. We are meant to feel welcome and supported, but this isn’t always the case for women-identified, BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ and international students. My goal is to be as useful as possible to my clients, and over the years I’ve found holistic approaches that engage the body as well as the mind are more effective than talk therapy alone. You’ll learn how to work with your nervous system’s automatic survival responses that drive your behavior, thoughts and feelings. You'll access your body's wisdom to better meet your needs. You’ll start moving through life with more ease and confidence, be able to follow through on your intentions, and find ways to rejuvenate even when you're super busy. If you're open to trying something new to get the changes you want, I hope you’ll be in touch!
