Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Effective mind-body approaches and an understanding of your nervous system enrich our talk therapy to help you take action and move forward.
Are you overwhelmed? Challenged by your relationships with friends, romantic partners or family? Do you have a foot in two or more worlds and are struggling to feel at home wherever you are? Or maybe you're burnt out by academics or life in general. College and graduate school are demanding experiences and it can feel like you never get to rest or that you don't belong. We are meant to feel welcome and supported, but this isn’t always the case for women-identified, BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ and international students. My goal is to be as useful as possible to my clients, and over the years I’ve found holistic approaches that engage the body as well as the mind are more effective than talk therapy alone. You’ll learn how to work with your nervous system’s automatic survival responses that drive your behavior, thoughts and feelings. You'll access your body's wisdom to better meet your needs. You’ll start moving through life with more ease and confidence, be able to follow through on your intentions, and find ways to rejuvenate even when you're super busy. If you're open to trying something new to get the changes you want, I hope you’ll be in touch!

Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology
I have completed the EFT Level 1 and 2 courses that focus on using Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping) for physical and emotional pain, limiting beliefs, and trauma. EFT is an effective, evidence-based mind-body technique that uses acupressure points to work with the nervous system, emotions and beliefs. It can be done by yourself or guided by a professional.
BRIEF International
I have completed over 65 hours of intensive training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and evidence-based talk therapy that focuses on the changes you want to make rather than starting by focusing on the problems you're facing. In my experience, clients have been able to make changes more easily this way.
Deb Dana, LCSW
I have completed an intensive, 6-month training on Polyvagal Theory (learning how the nervous system is the foundation of our thoughts, feelings and actions) and offer polyvagal-informed therapy that helps you work with your body to address the issues that negatively impact your life.
Tapas Fleming, LAc
TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) is a powerful yet gentle mind-body technique that allows you to access different aspects of the issue you're working on through acupressure points that help regulate the nervous system and access your unconscious.
IFS Institute
Internal Family Systems (IFS) allows you to befriend all aspects of yourself--even the ones you don't particularly like--by understanding the purpose of the role they play in helping you manage the challenges of daily life. By developing a working relationship with these aspects or parts of yourself, you can live with more enjoyment, steadiness and ease.
BA (Bachelor of Arts), 1987
I majored in Ethnic Studies, learning about the experiences of people of color in the US and the impact of systemic oppression.
MSW (Master of Social Work), 2013
I chose social work for its emphasis on empowerment and social justice. I focused on providing mental health support to adults.
