Margaret (Maggie) Johnson
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where you can show up as your authentic selves, in the midst of struggles and receive care and support.
Reaching out and asking for support is one of the most courageous things that a person can do in the face of struggles. I am so glad you are taking this step for yourself! Trauma, past relationships, life stressors, and more have a way of eating away at our joy and contentment, and can also be incredibly difficult to overcome alone. Acknowledging this, I strive to provide a warm, comforting space where you feel heard and understood as a human, but also challenged and encouraged to grow. Whether we are processing through a current stressor or practicing new skills, I would be honored to walk along this journey with you. In my work, I strongly believe that having a strong therapeutic relationship is key to success and change! My intention is always that you feel empowered and supported as we work together to help you achieve your goals. In therapy, you can expect me to utilize a relational, attachment-focused and trauma-informed approach. I also am an EMDR trained clinician and often utilize this technique to help clients work through past wounds, unhelpful beliefs, or discouraging patterns.
