Everyone needs support at times with navigating life's challenges. My goal is to offer a safe and compassion-filled space in which my clients feel heard, cared about and comfortable being vulnerable. I enter every therapeutic relationship with an open mind and a positive, client-centered approach. I enjoy learning about my client’s beliefs and life experiences in order to help them work towards their goals. I utilize a blend of traditional therapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, in addition to body-based techniques including EMDR, Brainspotting and mindfulness approaches. EMDR and Brainspotting are effective treatments that can facilitate rapid change and healing. They work to identify, process and release sources of emotional pain and trauma in the brain and body. I believe that a holistic approach involving the mind and body can be very beneficial for change. I primarily work with adults. My specialties and areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, prenatal and postpartum periods, parenting support, relationship issues/codependency and self-esteem and body image issues. I also have experience working with substance use disorders.
