Katlyn DeMain

Hello! My name is Katlyn and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training. I love working with children, families and individuals who are exploring themselves and why they do and think how they do. I work with children and teens, to help them understand their emotions and behaviors, and learn healthy ways to express them. I work with families to increase communication and understanding, allowing everyone to feel more safe and connected. With individuals, I help them explore and identify thought and behavior patterns to help them take control of what they do and how they react. I love working with clients to help them explore and find their true self, including gender and sexuality. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" style. I use a mix of approaches including CBT, DBT, and Play Therapy interventions to best fit the needs of each individual client. Together we can create treatment goals and work to address your specific needs. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming or uncomfortable and I hope to help ease that process.
