Kara Holthaus
(She/Her/Hers)
Counselor, Pre-Licensed Professional
I welcome clients who are puzzled over problematic relationships in their lives and are seeking to understand what is happening and how to stop the cycle.
I welcome clients who are open to exploring their past experiences, particularly in childhood, and how this has shaped and influenced their present. Understanding one's past can provide more agency today and change tomorrow. Being a counselor is a mid-life career pivot for me. This change came out of my own experience as a client. I value compassion-focused therapy modalities that are client centered and educational.
