Julia Davis
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Specializing in mood & anxiety disorders (depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, etc.) as well as spiritual/religious concerns
I'm Julia (she/they), and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Raleigh. I offer individual therapy in-person and via telehealth, serving adults or older teens (16+). I enjoy working with a variety of topics including depression, anxiety, stress, perfectionism & OCD, trauma & PTSD, eating & body image concerns, relationships, identity, and young adulthood (as well as parents of young adults). Drawing on my dual MSW/MDiv training from UNC School of Social Work and Duke Divinity School, I'm also interested in exploring spiritual/religious concerns in therapy if a client wants to do so; this may include topics like religious trauma, faith deconstruction/questioning, or moral scrupulosity. My therapy style takes an integrative approach prioritizing the therapeutic relationship while drawing on elements of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), or solution-focused strengths-based counseling. Above all, I hope to offer an affirming, nonjudgmental space that invites clients into self-awareness and self-compassion, practicing shifts from being hard on ourselves toward being kind to ourselves. Look forward to meeting you!
