John is a dedicated licensed therapist who helps clients build resilience and emotional balance through DBT-informed strategies.

As a therapist, John believes that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. Fueled by a deep sense of purpose, John strives to create a collaborative, culturally inclusive, and therapeutically effective space tailored to each client’s unique needs. John started his counseling journey at UNC Charlotte, where he graduated with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024. There, he deepened his passion for counseling psychology and found his calling in working with adults in outpatient settings. John uses a combination of techniques, drawing from person-centered, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and strength-based techniques to meet you where you are and walk with you through the process of creating positive life changes. Outside of work, John enjoys hitting the gym, cooking, playing guitar, and spending quality time with his lovely wife and their two dogs.
