Jennifer Senator

I specialize in working with young adults and adult women struggling with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. While I tailor treatment to each individual, I often use components from Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to help you resolve difficult issues, connect with your strengths and inner resources, and build the life you desire. My approach is collaborative, and I enjoy sharing relevant articles, books, and other resources in session. I have worked as a counselor in local middle and high schools, as well as with students in college and university settings. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and, prior to pursuing counseling, worked as a journalist in New York City. I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Eastern Mennonite University in 2014. I currently live in the city of Charlottesville with my husband and two daughters.
