Jacob Porter-Cohen
(He/Him/His)
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
I work with people of all genders and backgrounds to build more peaceful, fulfilling lives.
Are you looking to build a more fulfilling life? To free yourself from ineffective habits or painful experiences? To connect more deeply with your relationships or your work? To live your life deeply and meaningfully, and not just get through every day? If so, you've come to the right place. Going to therapy is one of the best things you can do to get unstuck and begin moving your life in a more fulfilling direction. I specialize in treating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, and self-harm. I'm especially passionate about working with men, neurodivergent clients, and the LGBTQ+ community. I'll help you cultivate your innate psychological flexibility- the ability to be present to your feelings, to respond to challenges effectively, and to direct your life toward what matters most to you. Everyone has this ability (yes, including you!), but we all need help at times to develop it. Everyone faces pain and struggle in life, and everyone is deserving of compassion and companionship. I'm honored to work everyday with people who are journeying toward growth, one step at a time. If you're ready to join me on this journey, please reach out!
