Haven Hafar
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Graduate Social Worker
I'm passionate about working with young adults struggling to balance their independence with challenging family & relationship dynamics.
Our late teens and 20s are full of life transitions, uncertainty, new experiences, big decisions, and figuring out who we are. It's overwhelming! I have a niche for working with folks in this stage of life, especially those also dealing with anxiety, depression, or complex family systems on top of it all. I love walking alongside folks in the journey of leaving their family home, gaining independence, and exploring values you have that might differ from those imposed on you. I understand how scary this can be - especially for folks who tend to play a caregiver role. I aim to help clients cultivate self-compassion and identify the strengths they hold, while also using DBT and CBT to help people manage symptoms and learn new concrete coping skills for navigating life in a way that feels most effective for them. I understand the challenge of using skills during difficult moments, and I enjoy partnering with people to provide guidance on listening to one's body and applying coping strategies. I am client-centered and will meet you where you're at, utilizing interventions that help you heal, grow, and embrace the version of yourself that feels most authentic.
