Emily Thomas
Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)
Emily seeks to partner with her clients in whatever way they need to move towards positive lasting change in their lives.
Emily is a marriage and family therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families on a variety of presenting issues. Ultimately her goal is to help her clients move through their presenting issues while also developing a strong overall sense of Self. She has experience working with relational dynamics and all that may come from them: stress, anger, anxiety, depression, infidelity, divorce, abuse, grief, substance use, attachment injuries, life transitions, blended families, etc. She is also interested in client issues with chronic or terminal illness, infertility, and marital conflict. Her theoretical orientation is informed by Bowenian Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems, attachment therapy and Structural Family Therapy. She also uses mindfulness techniques and directives at times.
