Empowering high achievers with compassionate, trauma-informed care and sport psychology to heal, grow, and thrive—on and off the field.

Welcome to Alchemy Psychology. I’m Dr. Emily Peterman Cabano—a licensed psychologist, Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), and former NCAA Division I gymnast. I understand the intense demands of elite sport, and I’m here to support you with care that’s grounded in both clinical expertise and lived experience. At Alchemy Psychology, I work with high-performance athletes who are navigating the mental and emotional challenges of sport and life—whether that means preparing for competition, recovering from injury or trauma, managing burnout, or exploring identity beyond sport. My practice is trauma-informed, meaning we move at your pace, with safety, trust, and respect at the core of everything we do. Together, we’ll create a space where you can build resilience, deepen self-awareness, and thrive both on and off the field. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your goals—so that you don’t just perform at your best, you feel whole in the process.
