Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
I'm a queer clinician who focuses on providing authentic, person-centered care to pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults.
Are you ready to work with a therapist who gets you? I work with preteens, teenagers, and young adults on issues like identity formation, trauma, body image, and disordered eating. As a queer person, I understand how important it is to feel safe in bringing your whole self to therapy. I'm here to listen to your story and let you be the expert on your life. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Trauma theory and somatic theory are the guiding principles behind my practice; I believe it is important to understand how our past experiences influence our present reactions. Additional perspectives such as systems theory and minority stress theory help me to conceptualize my clients and their experiences within a broader culture--none of us exist in a bubble, and your therapist should acknowledge the ways in which your identity shapes your experience in the world. I practice through an anti-oppression framework that seeks to be trans and queer affirming, anti-racist, and espouse the principles of Health at Every Size. I am EMDR trained and utilize it alongside narrative therapy, ACT, and parts work.
