Dylan Hines
(They/Them/Theirs)
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
I am a queer mental health counselor who seeks to support folks of all identities and experiences, especially those in the LGBTQ+ community.
Hi there! My name is Dylan (He&They), a mental health counselor at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in the North Durham office. I earned my M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University. I am committed to providing a safe and affirming counseling space where you can be your most authentic self without shame. I approach my counseling from a person-centered and feminist point-of-view, which centers your values and celebrates all aspects of your identity. I also employ narrative and strengths-based approaches, which seek to empower and build self-compassion, and hopefully find a little humor along the way. I invite each person I work with to show up exactly as they are and to act as collaborators in their counseling experiences. I am deeply passionate about supporting members of the queer community through mental health care and community education. I also enjoy working alongside adolescents and adults of all ages as they explore identities and values; manage anxiety, depression, and daily stressors; process trauma; navigate life transitions; and work towards their goal of creating a more fulfilling life.
