Deana Hinson

Deana Hinson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, life change and crisis, relationship issues, divorce and recovery, communication skills, trauma, self care and work/life balance. She is also very experienced with serious mental illness. Deana graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a MSW and has been licensed since 1995. Her undergraduate work was completed at the University of North Carolina at Asheville in NC. In a world that can seem more and more divisive in both personal and situations around us, we all often need the opportunity to process these struggles that life creates. Deana has been fortunate to work in a career that involves passion and commitment to supporting others in a path of personal growth. As a professional, she empathetically reacts to the needs of others. Her goal is to support others through affirmation and exploring the barriers to happiness and comfort with one's daily life. Her approach typically utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as other modalities as needed. The goal is to enable others to find peace in their life.
