Carol Melim

Carol graduated from ASU in May 2008 with her Masters in Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through Arizona Board of Behavioral Health. She specializes in working with children, teens, adults, and families who have challenges with ADHD, adoption, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, mood disorder, oppositional defiance, trauma, and victims of abuse and neglect. She is EMDR Certified with EMDRIA to help children, teens, and adults process trauma. She has completed additional EMDR training to work with reprocessing early trauma and neglect in implicit memory and Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) and Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP). Carol has a strong passion towards helping adopted or fostered children. She has personally provided therapeutic foster care and respite for many children who were adopted from overseas and here in the United States for 7 years in Arizona. She understands their need for control and helps them heal and find the joy in living with a family.
