It is a privilege and honor to be a part of your life and journey.
Hello, my name is Carlos Martinez and I’m a Licensed Specialized Clinical Social Worker. I am fluent in spoken Spanish and I received my bachelor degree from Biola University. After completing my Bachelor’s degree I was offered an opportunity to work with the non-profit organization called Child Abuse Prevention Center as a caseworker partnered with a therapist. I worked as a case worker for about 2 years, and I learned I wanted to further pursue becoming a therapist after gaining valuable insight from seeing what a mental health therapist can offer those seeking assistance. I attended and graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Social Worker with an emphasis in clinical social work. I entered the field in order to share with others the life-changing power of being in therapy, learning about oneself, and making decisions to change one’s way of interacting with the world. I have experience in treating: depression, anxiety, trauma related disorders, and behavioral problems. In addition, I have experience utilizing evidence-based treatments recommended for a wide range of behavioral and emotional concerns across adolescents, and adults. Specifically, I utilize evidenced based modalities of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR) when clinically indicated. I am truly honored to be apart of your journey and the healing process and I look forward to working with you.
