I'll support you in finding more effective and flexible ways to navigate challenges, and cultivating more satisfying relationships.

I enjoy walking my dog, writing poetry, and playing sports in my free time. As a therapist, I am particularly drawn to working with clients experiencing anxiety, college students, children and teens, and people who are counselors or counselors in training. Some of my identities include being queer, nonbinary/gender fabulous, and White. I use person-centered and creative approaches in my practice. This means I will follow your lead, work to understand the challenges you are experiencing, and join you in finding new and more flexible ways to navigate situations. I believe that well-being can be cultivated inside oneself, in the therapeutic relationship, and within community. Oftentimes oppression creates barriers and is part of what causes distress. We will collaborate to externalize harmful messages, come up with creative coping strategies, and practice navigating and/or disrupting harmful systems in ways that center your well-being. When it is useful, I bring practices of mindfulness and self-compassion, CBT and DBT-informed approaches, and play and expressive arts therapy activities into sessions.
