Amelia (Dr. Ami) Jester

Dr. Ami Jester is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with more than seven years of experience, including exploring the country as a travel nurse. Dr. Jester is focused on improving LGBTQIA+ patients’ experiences in healthcare settings and is passionate about raising the bar in LGBTQIA+ health. She wants her patients to be successful in school, work, and relationships, as a person who will always be learning and growing. Dr. Jester respects each patient’s unique experiences in the world and understands how the intersectionality of multiple identities affects it. The beautiful thing about mental health treatment is that it looks different for each person depending on their goals, and Dr. Jester is excited to discover how she can work collaboratively to achieve them. Dr. Jester is from Kansas City, Missouri and discovered that the West Coast is truly the best coast. Her hobbies include taking her dog to the beach and watching women’s soccer. She can’t wait to root for the Slugs!
