Alicia Armstrong
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
LGBTQ+ affirming therapist specializing in anxiety, self harm, trauma, healing, post-traumatic growth, and gender and sexuality exploration, & pet therapy
I am passionate about empowerment, collaboration, and facilitating healing and growth from traumatic life events. I have over 15 years of experience working with survivors of interpersonal violence and sexual assault. I also specialize in helping the LGBTQ+ population explore and navigate their identities in a society that often stigmatizes being your authentic self. My goal is to provide compassionate therapy services, working in collaboration with you to help you meet your goals and guide you through the healing process. I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges, including dating, relationships, trauma, violence and assault, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-harm, and sexuality or gender identity diversity. My background includes victim advocacy and outreach, clinical crisis counseling, animal assisted therapy, and human sexuality education. Taking the first step to reach out for help is not only brave but will be incredibly rewarding. Please note that I use pet therapy in sessions, including a therapy dog named Freckles.
