I welcome and affirm clients of all identities and backgrounds in our group practice. Professional Assistance Every Step of the Way....
I am looking forward to meeting you. I have been practicing for 25 plus years in a range of treatment settings from inpatient to outpatient programs. Out of which the Psychosocial model in the Residential Rehabilitation Programs attracted me the most. I primarily worked with adults of all ages for a range of psychiatric and psychological issues in various levels of care namely- Crisis, Group homes, Independent living, Permanent group homes, and Assisted Living Facilities for Mentally Challenged Individuals from 1988 to 2004. I entered the field from being an Intern and transitioned into various titles gradually Vocational Rehab Counselor, Intake Coordinator, Case Management, Skills training, Program Director, and Director of all Residential Program Directors in an Agency. I approach treatment from an Individualized Strength-Based, Psycho-social Evidence-based approach. I choose treatment modalities in collaboration with the client based on the symptomatology and primarily lean towards Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Humanistic, Client-centered, Existential, and Eclectic to treat Anxiety Disorders and Mood Disorders. In 2004, I established my solo private practice, Sahaya Therapy- Sahaya meaning "to be of Assistance" and now since 2019 converted to a group practice. Our clinicians are also handpicked to suit the philosophy of the practice, well trained, licensed, and primarily CARE about the well-being of our clients.
