Hello! Come on in, let's get started.

Hi, my name is Shanice! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCAS-A). I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a certification in Addiction Studies from North Carolina Central University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Elizabeth City State University. I am currently pursuing a PhD. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University. I believe in using a non-judgmental approach to facilitate healthy, open dialogue for positive change, mutual understanding, and differences in perspectives. I incorporate the use of evidence-based practices that are never one size fits all. From the first session, client's can take away a bit more understanding about what they hope to achieve in therapy related to their goals and a breath of fresh air knowing that they have just taken the first step in their healing journey!
