(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
I’m a solution-focused, results-oriented counselor with a passion for helping people in the most efficient yet comprehensive manner possible.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with five years of clinical experience. I am also an author of books on parenting, relationships and depression. I specialize in depression, anxiety, insomnia, OCD and parenting. For clients with depression, anxiety and OCD, I focus on lifestyle change, cognitive therapy, emotional coping skills and exposure therapy. For clients with insomnia, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). My clients and I explore evidence-based treatments for all three aspects of mental health: behaviors, thoughts and emotions. Most often, I work with clients' present-day experiences, with less focus on the past. Many of my clients tell me that traditional talk therapy has not worked for them and they want to try something different. I conduct remote sessions with clients Mondays through Fridays. If you think we'd be a good fit, email mollie@steffencounselingservices.com to schedule a free consultation or a first session.
