Mary (Mary Beth) Loretta
(They/Them/Theirs)
Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW)
I offer a safe space for clients of all backgrounds and identities heal, grow, laugh and reach their potential.
Discovering the origin of some of our patterns - cognitive, behavioral, and emotional can be the beginning of a shift of consciousness. The power of the client/clinician relationship cannot be understated, and I operate under one of my favorite quotes by Ram Dass which says, "We're all just walking each other home." I practice within a client-centered, trauma-informed, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive framework. I have experience working with individuals and groups in an in-patient substance use disorder treatment center, a college counseling center, and a non-profit mental health setting working with teenagers. I use a blend of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and affirming therapy techniques. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, curious, but also direct. My lived experience offers a unique perspective on embarking on the journey of healing.
