Marissa Cassens

I am looking forward to meeting you! I have experience working in a multitude of different settings before transitioning to working in outpatient therapy. Through my previous work, I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with eating disorders, depressive and anxiety disorders, chronic pain, grief and dementia. I utilize evidence-based modalities, such as: CBT, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing to assist clients in addressing negative thought patterns, gain acceptance towards themselves and increase their tool box of helpful coping skills. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space, as well as an empathetic and strengths-based approach to help clients reach their fullest potential.
