Lois Benishek
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychologist
I enjoy wearing three professional hats: mental health therapist, career coach, & success coach for students with undergraduate and graduate school needs.
As a therapist, I enjoy working with people to support them as they understand the challenges they’re experiencing in their lives and as they find healthy ways to address and resolve them. Some of those challenges might involve life transitions, identity issues, coping with stress, relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. You would find me to be collaborative partner in the counseling process, as we look for possible patterns and roadblocks in your life and then create a positive action plan that is tailored specifically to your situation. As a career coach, I collaborate with my clients to develop highly personalized action plans to address career indecision and job search concerns. Finally, as a professional mentor and student advocate with experience as a faculty member, I enjoy helping students to succeed in college environments, including preparing for and applying to graduate school. Adjectives that describe me are: engaged, supportive, motivational, non-judgmental, and growth-oriented. For more information about me go to the Psychology Today Find a Therapist website!
