I love partnering with clients to improve their mental/emotional health. I am a Christian & enjoy incorporating clients’ faith in counseling (if desired).

Laura joined LifeCare in 2021 with 16 years of church ministry experience related to children, missions, and care. In ministry, she walked alongside people going through a variety of difficult times. She became a licensed counselor to build on that foundation and become better equipped to help others. Laura views counseling as an opportunity for individuals to make an investment in their own mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Laura considers counseling to be a collaborative journey that helps empower clients to take steps toward growth and healing, while in a safe, caring, and nonjudgmental environment. She often incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her counseling approach, as she believes the thoughts we have greatly influence us. When clients are open, she enthusiastically integrates biblical truths and prayer, as she believes there is great power in both. Laura enjoys working with women (16 & older) in all life stages. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, major life changes, marital growth, parenting, grief/loss, and identity. Additionally, Laura has a heart for counseling individuals who have experienced sexual trauma.
