John Hurst

John Hurst is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 2003. He has a BS in Psychology from University of Florida and an MS in Counseling from Albizu University (Miami Campus). Over his career John has been able to build strong, genuine relationships with his clients in the therapeutic setting by offering safety and earning trust through listening, understanding, connecting, and showing unconditional positive regard. People have stories to tell, and those stories can be difficult, harsh, and often traumatic. But people also have stories of resilience and survivorship, and they have hopes and clear goals for what they want to accomplish in therapy. John's job, and his privilege, is to do everything he can to help them get there. Outside of work, John enjoys running, working out, gardening, and gaming.
