Come as you are. Leave with compassion, clarity, and courage.
I occupy different marginalized identities: a person of color, neurodivergent, the eldest of immigrant parents, a woman; and have lived experience with depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, colorism, racism, and oppression. I also occupy privileged identities: cisgender, straight, able-bodied, connection with multiple generations, and have never experienced housing or food insecurity. I am thankful for all my identities, and am still on my own journey of living harmoniously with all these parts of me. As a young adult, I quickly learned that there weren’t many therapists that helped me feel culturally known and safe as an Asian American woman. The discouraging experience of struggling to find a therapy space that highlighted and honored my Asian American experiences was the foundation that eventually culminated in Full Well Therapy. Now, I feel incredibly blessed to be able to provide the space that wasn’t available back then. And I consider it a great privilege to be able to partner with Asian Americans and those who hold an intersection of their identity that experiences oppression, marginalization, and erasure.
