Elizabeth (Liz) McInerney
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychologist
I view self and relational awareness as key elements to human growth. I value diversity and social justice, two elements I infuse in my therapy work.
I am a counseling psychologist who offers individual and relationship therapy to adolescents and adults. I use a multicultural and strengths-based approach that seeks to honor the diversity of all people and relationship types. I have expertise in working with those who are experiencing distress due to anxiety, burnout, depression, eating concerns, gender dysphoria, sleep disorders, stress, and trauma. I also have experience working with individuals who seek a deeper understanding of self particularly as it relates to gender and sexual identity. I am able to write letters for gender affirmation surgeries. My clinical work draws upon an integration of skills-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a foundation in Psychodynamic and Narrative Therapy. Specific to couples therapy, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and am pursuing certification as an EFT therapist. I have a strong passion for mindfulness and somatics, two elements infused throughout my professional and personal life.
