My approach combines depth psychotherapy with a hefty mix of warmth, humor, and non-judgmental support.

We all struggle, and so many of us are doing the very best we can. Psychodynamic therapy, and the therapeutic relationship, are powerful tools for uncovering the unconscious processes that are often at the root of our struggles and can get in the way of living a life that is authentic and deeply meaningful. I’ve worked in a variety of settings with folks of all ages and backgrounds. My areas of expertise include eating disorders, body image concerns, trauma, depression, anxiety, academic problems, family and relationship challenges, and difficulty with life transitions. I strive to create a space that is inclusive and affirming of people of all racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual identities and I approach each client with curiosity, compassion, and creativity. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of North Carolina. I received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in education from Mercy College in New York. I invite you to contact me to explore whether I might be a good fit for you!
