Cheryl has experience working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Cheryl believes that connections and relationships impact mental well-being, and takes a holistic approach to treatment. Cheryl takes a mindful, solution-focused approach to the therapeutic relationship and believes in promoting the autonomy of her clients. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of excellent therapy services, and strives to provide a non-judgemental, warm, collaborative space for clients to explore and grow on their path towards their ideal wellness. Cheryl received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Arizona State University, and is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist. Cheryl has experience treating individuals with issues relating to complex trauma, dissociation, ADHD, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and relationship issues. Cheryl utilizes trauma-informed, evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman method, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
