Brandy Alcorn, LPA, LCAS, CCS Three Oaks Behavioral Health

I am a Licensed Psychological Associate, a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. I earned both my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, with minors in Sociology and Women’s Studies, and my Masters of Psychology with a concentration in Substance Abuse Treatment (MA) degree at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I am trained Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques. I create a warm and validating environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I will help you learn and cope with intense emotions, difficult mood symptoms, overwhelming anxiety and ineffective behaviors through acceptance & change. I also believe that learning to regulate emotions and thoughts which cause suffering is the key to making lasting change. Living a more mindful life is an important part of treatment, helping you learn how to be aware of the way we treat ourselves, others, and also how we create peace in everyday life.
