Shelley DeJongh
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I help those navigating life changes develop awareness, manage emotions, create change, and focus on a meaningful life.
I know that coping with added pressures in life can create anxiety and depressive symptoms. What is often overlooked is the fear, guilt, loss, anger, and sadness associated with the changes it has brought to your life and those around you. If you struggle with work stressors, relationship issues, parent/ child issues, chronic health challenges, self-esteem, substance abuse/ family addiction, etc., attending counseling can be an essential aspect of your healthcare strategy. We will work together to alleviate stress-related symptoms and help you focus on managing a meaningful life. I believe that healing is a process, that change is possible when we assume responsibility for that change, and that a little bit of humor can go a long way. I have a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and drug and alcohol counseling. I adhere to a holistic approach (how we think, feel & behave) and incorporate techniques from ACT, CBT, and DBT. I have worked in the mental health and substance use disorder field for 23 years at various levels of care, making telehealth a good fit. Why wait? Let’s connect. Shelley
