Ricardo Álvarez

Ricardo �lvarez is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 2018. He has a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, is EMDR certified, a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, has advance training in Creative Arts Counseling, Strategic Family Therapy, and Positive Psychology, is a Trained Life Coach and Health Coach and is a Certified Multipurpose Yoga Instructor. As a counselor with a bicultural and bilingual background, Ricardo can provide a safe space to explore his clients' challenges through a lens that understands their unique cultural background. He utilizes evidence-based therapies honed over 6 years of experience and can incorporate applied neuroscience to help his clients understand their brain's role in their emotions and behaviors. Additionally, Ricardo is skilled at using expressive arts therapies, offering creative outlets for self-discovery and expression. Outside of work, Ricardo enjoys hiking, road trips, photography and filmmaking, playing guitar,singing, and meditation.
