Racquel Renee Joyner is a Resident in Counseling in Virginia who has been practicing since 2022. She has an Associates of Applied Science Degree with a major in Human Services from Tidewater Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Cum Laude from Norfolk State University, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Racquel enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in wide ranges of ages. She uses a blend of psychoeducation from Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered therapy while focusing on humanistic approach with careful consideration of cultural concerns and practices. Racquel has experience working with anxiety, depression, and trauma-related diagnoses with clients as they navigate grief, adjustments/transitions. and other life experiences. Racquel utilizes role-playing and art therapy in sessions, seeing her clients to be their experts in their lives.
