Pam McKown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor in Texas who has been practicing since 2005. She received her Master in Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work from Baylor University. Since graduation she has pursued being a real and authentic partner to journey with those suffering from mental health concerns. She has worked in both the inpatient and outpatient setting serving those with mild to severe issues. She enjoys working with persons dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, phase of life concerns, wellness issues, and substance abuse issues. Pam seeks to pull from many different therapeutic models, such as cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, problem solving, and motivational interviewing. With this approach, she works to create a unique and individual experience for each person. Pam offers a place of safety and respect for people to approach their concerns in a very real and practical way. A unique plan for each client will be created based on their need, therapeutic approach, and strengths of the client. Pam wants you to succeed and overcome the barriers you are experiencing and will work to provide you with a space to navigate your change. Outside of work, Pam enjoys life with her husband and two sons.
